I just bought a 88 blater all original,no changes at all. Compression is 130psi. I have no spark. When I kick it the oil light on the headlight lights up some? If I cut light switch on, oil light does nothing. After it would not start I cleaned carb, ckecked all connections, installed carb bowl, intake, exhaust gaskets & new Br8es NGK plug. I have 2004 spare eletrical components that I can put on it, also have 2002 blaster that runs great that I can put on it bit didn't want to pull parts from something that is running so good! The 2004 and 2002 headlight connectors are not the same. Any suggestions/

You may check out TORS(Throttle Override Switch). they tend to go bad on older Blasters. Just take off the cover to the thumb throttle off and splice the wires and see if you get spark. Heres a link showing how to do it TORS.

Thanks for the welcome. I am going to try to work on it tomorrow, maybe it will be warmer. Thanks for the advice, I also am going to remove oil injection.
